The majority of our items are in stock, unless otherwise stated on the site. Most items ship within one business day, unless specified in the item description. If we cannot ship within two business days, we will notify you as soon as possible. Our business days are Monday – Friday and exclude major holidays. We are located on the West coast, therefore allow reasonable shipping times based on your destination. The closer you are to the West coast, transit time is more rapid. Depending on the carrier and shipping method, it can take up to five business days or more to East coast destinations. Delivery-time estimations are based on the information given to us by the carriers. Once your package has been delivered to the carrier, we cannot be responsible if it is not delivered within the estimated time frame. Other factors, such as adverse weather conditions, can factor into delivery times.
Shipping and Handling
We use the big three shipping carriers within the 50 United States and U.S. Protectorates (USPS, FedEx and UPS), depending on the destination and parcel weight.
Free Standard Shipping is offered for all U.S. and U.S. Protectorates, including APO/FPO.
The customer is responsible for entering their order correctly. We are not responsible for mistakes made by the customer during the order process. Examples are: transposing numbers in the address, typing errors, interchanging billing and shipping addresses, selecting the wrong color, duplicate orders, etc. While we make every effort to work with the customer to correct/resolve the mistake, it is ultimately the customer’s responsibility to initially give us the correct order information. If we cannot correct any errors before the order has processed, we will not bear the costs of the customer error. Please double check the order and all information provided before submitting it. Once order processing has begun in our warehouse, we are unable to cancel the order/shipment.
Packages Delivered with Incorrect Address Information
If the package has incorrect or incomplete address information, we will pass along any fees charged us by the carrier to intercept and correct the address in order to deliver the package. These fees can range from $5.00 to $15.00, depending on the carrier. Examples of incomplete addresses include missing apartment/suite/floor numbers, if applicable. For this reason, please double-check address information for accuracy during the check-out process. If shipping to another location, please verify the address.
Undeliverable Packages and Refused Package Fees
Some carriers charge return shipping fees for undeliverable or refused packages. This charge will be passed to the customer, as we are not able to absorb the charges. This policy applies whether your order qualified for “free shipping” or not. Packages refused by the recipient or “undeliverable” and returned to Now Cooking will incur these fees, including fuel surcharges for the returned shipment. Now Cooking will also assess a 25% handling and restocking fee. Examples of undeliverable packages include (but are not limited to) incorrect address information; packages that are refused for any reason when delivery is attempted; packages that aren’t delivered in 3 delivery attempts; unclaimed packages being held at the local UPS, USPS, FedEx or customs locations that result in the package being returned to Now Cooking. Please be sure addresses are correct, the location is suitable for daytime delivery of packages and that the recipient is aware that a package is coming.
